LABOR RIGHTS WEEK 2014 EVENTS:

On August 28, 2014, at 5:30 p.m.,  Field Attorney Stephen Bensinger will give a presentation to the Loyola Workplace Justice Project.  Field Attorney Stephen Bensinger will discuss the rights and responsibilities of employees and employers under the National Labor Relations Act, along with the services that the National Labor Relations Board provides.  The presentation will take place at the Loyola Law School Clinic in New Orleans, Louisiana.

On August 29, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., Supervisory Field Attorney Kevin McClue will give a presentation at the Consulate of Mexico in New Orleans, Louisiana.   Supervisory Field Attorney Kevin McClue will also discuss the rights and responsibilities of employees and employers under the National Labor Relations Act, along with the services that the National Labor Relations Board provides.  The presentation will take place at the Consulate of Mexico’s office located at 901 Convention Center Boulevard, Suite 119, New Orleans, Louisiana. 

On August 29, 2014, at 1:30 p.m., Regional Direction M. Kathleen McKinney will sign a local memorandum of understanding with the Consulate of Mexico in New Orleans, Louisiana.  The purpose of the local memorandum of understanding is to strengthen the collaborative efforts between Region 15 and the Consulate of Mexico to provide Mexican workers, their employers, and Mexican business owners in the United States with information, guidance, and access to education regarding their rights and responsibilities under the National Labor Relations Act.  The signing will take place at the Consulate of Mexico’s office located at 901 Convention Center Boulevard, Suite 119, New Orleans, Louisiana.
