Effective May 5, 2014, Rhonda P. Ley is Acting Regional Director of Region 6 - Pittsburgh after the retirement of previous Regional Director Robert W. Chester. Welcome to Region 6 of the National Labor Relations Board.

We conduct elections, investigate charges of unfair labor practices, and protect the rights of workers to act together, serving western Pennsylvania, parts of West Virginia, Virginia and Maryland, from our office in Pittsburgh. If you have questions or wish to file a charge or petition for election, please visit our office or call and ask for the Information Officer on duty. We can arrange to have someone speak with you in the language of your choice.

We are also happy to provide speakers and materials to promote a greater understanding of the National Labor Relations Act. News From the Region

National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) Chairman Mark Gaston Pearce and General Counsel Richard F. Griffin, Jr. announced the appointment of career employee Nancy Wilson as Regional Director of the Agency’s Office in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (Region 6). Ms. Wilson succeeds Robert Chester, who retired last year. In her new position, Ms. Wilson will be responsible for enforcement of one of the nation’s primary labor laws covering private sector employees in western Pennsylvania, counties in northern West Virginia; Garrett and Allegany Counties in Maryland and Highland County in Virginia.

The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) approved a plan to restructure the territorial coverage for Regional Offices in Buffalo, New York (Region 3) and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (Region 6).  Under the approved plan, Regions 3 and 6 will retain their full regional status.  In reaching this decision, the Agency evaluated feedback from the public, members of Congress, and NLRB staff.  The approved plan reflects the Agency’s need to balance its practical operational concerns with the need for the NLRB to enter its 80th year servicing this country as the strong and accessible presen
