Blue School  (02-RC-278139)  New York, NY, October 19, 2021.  The Board denied the Employer’s Request for Review of the Regional Director’s Decision and Direction of Election as it raised no substantial issues warranting review.  Petitioner—Local 2110, Technical, Office & Professional Union, UAW, AFL-CIO.  Chairman McFerran and Members Kaplan and Ring participated.

Oakrheem, Inc., d/b/a Hayward Convalescent Hospital  (32-RC-277078)  Hayward, CA, October 21, 2021.  The Board denied the Employer’s Request for Review of the Regional Director’s Decision on Objection and Certification of Representative as it raised no substantial issues warranting review.  Petitioner—Service Employees International Union, Local 2015.  Chairman McFerran and Members Kaplan and Wilcox participated.

Centerline Logistics Corporation, Leo Marine Services, Inc. and Olympic Tug & Barge, Inc., a Single Employer  (21-RC-274874, 32-RC-275310 and 21-RC-275324)  Los Angeles, CA, Alameda, CA, and Long Beach, CA, October 21, 2021.  The Board denied the Employers’ Requests for Review of the Regional Director’s granting of the Petitioners’ Motion to Amend their petitions as they raised no substantial issues warranting review.  During a hearing, the Petitioners had moved to amend their respective petitions to include an additional employer-entity and alleged single employer of the employees in the initially petitioned-for units.  The Board also denied one Employer’s Motion to Strike an Opposition filed by one of the Petitioners; under the relevant provisions of the Board’s rules, the opposition was not untimely.  Petitioners—International Organization of Masters, Mates and Pilots, ILA, AFL-CIO, and Inland Boatmen’s Union.  Intervenor—Seafarers International Union.  Chairman McFerran and Members Kaplan and Wilcox participated.

C Cases

Quickway Transportation, Inc. (09-CA-251857, et al.)  Louisville, KY, October 19, 2021.  The Board denied the Respondent’s Request for Special Permission to Appeal the Deputy Chief Administrative Law Judge’s orders granting in part the petitions to revoke the Respondent’s subpoenas duces tecum and ordering the Respondent to produce documents subpoenaed by the General Counsel prior to the resumption of the hearing.  The Board found that the Respondent failed to establish that the judge abused his discretion in denying the motion.  Charges filed by General Drivers, Warehousemen and Helpers, Local Union No. 89, a/w the International Brotherhood of Teamsters and individuals.  Chairman McFerran and Members Kaplan and Ring participated.
