The National Labor Relations Board’s Student Ambassador Program
The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) is an independent federal agency created in 1935 and vested with the power to safeguard employees’ rights to organize, engage with one another to seek better working conditions, choose whether or not to have a collective bargaining representative negotiate on their behalf with their employer, or refrain from doing so. The NLRB also acts to prevent and remedy unfair labor practices committed by private sector employers and unions, as well as conducts secret-ballot elections regarding union representation.
The NLRB’s Student Ambassador Program (SAP) is an initiative for high school students who are interested in learning more about the NLRB and the workplace rights the NLRB enforces. NLRB investigators and attorneys use scenarios and a mock case to teach Student Ambassadors about federal labor law, investigation procedures, and how to make legal arguments. Student Ambassadors will then create a project to teach others.
How can you enroll in the SAP? If you are an individual high school student enrolled in a U.S. high school, please apply by April 7, 2025, by clicking on the form below.
