Established in 1935, the National Labor Relations Board is an independent federal agency that protects employees, employers, and unions from unfair labor practices and protects the right of private sector employees to join together, with or without a union, to improve wages, benefits and working conditions. VIUSA, Inc., Teamsters Local 89, and the NLRB Reach $21.6M Settlement
The Regional Director for Region 9, on behalf of the General Counsel of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), has signed a court-mediated settlement agreement among the NLRB, VIUSA, Inc. (formerly Voith Industrial Services, Inc.) (the Employer), and Teamsters Local 89 (the Union). Under the Agreement, the Employer has agreed to pay $21.6 million.
