Sharon Steckler

Judge

Judge Steckler was appointed in November 2015. Previously she served as a Social Security Judge. Before joining Social Security, Judge Steckler was a supervisory attorney in Region 16 of the NLRB. She also served as a field attorney in Region 14. Prior to coming to the Board, she worked in private practice and as a law clerk in the Missouri Court of Appeals. She earned her B.S.N. degree at Vanderbilt University and a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management at Washington University in St. Louis. Before attending law school, she was a nurse and a nurse educator. She also taught human resources management at Linderwood University in Saint Charles, Missouri. Judge Steckler received her J.D. degree, cum laude, from St. Louis University School of Law.
