Voting Unit (Unit A):All full-time and regular part-time employees working at the Employer’s facility located at 521 Shelikof Street, Kodiak, Alaska, who are engaged in unloading, canning, processing (including freezing), and handling of fish and shellfish and seafood byproducts from the time the fish or shellfish are available at the plant dock for unloading from the delivery vessel through the several operations until the product is processed, labeled, packed in cartons or cases and stowed in the warehouse, truck, or van, or delivered to the dock or vessel. The unit shall also include employees engaged in the operating, maintaining, and feeding of all necessary machinery for the making of cans, boxes, and cartons; the maintaining of equipment utilized throughout the processing operation; and the normal maintaining of plant facilities; excluding all other employees, employees represented by another labor organization, superintendents, assistant supervisors, all office employees, professional employees, chemists, assistant chemists, technicians, all other laboratory personnel, all timekeepers, all plant protection personnel, all office janitorial personnel, all employees specially selected by the Employer who are undergoing training and instruction as part of a joint public education program or as a management training program, and guards and supervisors as defined in the National Labor Relations Act. FN: The parties have agreed that quality control employees are eligible to vote. The parties also agree that Employer’s custodians are eligible to vote, with the exception of “all office janitorial personnel,” who are ineligible to vote.
