The Board granted the General Counsel’s Motion for Default Judgment based on the Respondent’s noncompliance with the provisions of the parties’ bilateral informal settlement agreement. The case alleges Section 8(a)(5) and (1) violations. The remedy orders the Respondent to comply with the unmet terms of the settlement agreement.

The Boeing Company (19-CA-272489; 374 NLRB No. 20) Renton, WA, January 27, 2025.
The Board, reversing the Administrative Law Judge, found that the Respondent did not violate Section 8(a)(3) and (1) by laying off seven instructor pilots and subcontracting their work. The Board found that the Respondent established that it would have taken the same actions in the absence of the employees’ protected conduct of voting not to decertify their Union.
