Allen Binstock appointed Regional Attorney in Cleveland

National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) Acting General Counsel Lafe Solomon announced the appointment of career attorney Allen Binstock as Regional Attorney of the NLRB’s Regional Office in Cleveland, Ohio (Region 8). In his new position, Mr. Binstock will assist Regional Director Frederick J. Calatrello in the processing of representation and unfair labor practice cases filed under the National Labor Relations Act in northern Ohio.
Mr. Binstock is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University, where he majored in History and Psychology. He also holds a Masters Degree in History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Following graduation from the University of Connecticut School of Law, he joined the NLRB in 1979 as a Field Attorney in the Cleveland Regional Office and has worked there continuously since that time.  In 2005, he was promoted to Supervisory Attorney in the Cleveland Regional Office and in 2007, Mr. Binstock was appointed as a Deputy Regional Attorney. 
The National Labor Relations Board is an independent federal agency vested with the power to safeguard employees’ rights to organize and to determine whether to have unions as their bargaining representative.  The Agency also acts to prevent and remedy unfair labor practices committed by private sector employers.
