Today, General Counsel Jennifer A. Abruzzo announced the appointment of Danielle Pierce as the Regional Director of the NLRB Region 31-Los Angeles office. With a Regional Office in West Los Angeles, Region 31 is responsible for conducting elections, investigating unfair labor practice charges, and protecting the rights of employees in portions of Los Angeles and six other counties in Southern California.

“Danielle has proven to be an exceptional public servant with a strong commitment to the National Labor Relations Act,” said General Counsel Jennifer Abruzzo. “I am confident she will bring that dedication to fully effectuate the Act in her new role as the Regional Director of Region 31.”

Ms. Pierce graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2004 with a degree in Political Science and Speech Communication. She went on to obtain her Master of Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the university’s School of Labor and Employment Relations in 2011. Ms. Pierce began her career with the Agency as a Student Co-Op in Region 25 in Indianapolis, Indiana. In August 2011 she joined Region 31 as a Field Examiner. She became the Region’s Compliance Officer in 2015 and was promoted to Supervisory Field Examiner in 2016. Since 2021 she has served as Assistant to the Regional Director of Region 31.

Established in 1935, the National Labor Relations Board is an independent federal agency that protects employees from unfair labor practices and protects the right of private sector employees to join together, with or without a union, to improve wages, benefits and working conditions. The NLRB conducts hundreds of workplace elections and investigates thousands of unfair labor practice charges each year.
