Memorial Service Friday for Former Board Chairman John C. Truesdale

A Memorial Service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery on Friday, July 22nd at 1 pm to celebrate the life of John C. Truesdale, former Chairman and long-time Executive Secretary of the National Labor Relations Board. Friends and colleagues are welcome to attend, and should check in at the Visitor's Center.
Mr. Truesdale, whose career at the Board spanned six decades, rose from an entry-level field investigator to become Board member and ultimately Chairman. He retired from the Board twice, most recently in 2001 after being called back to service by President Clinton in 1998. Mr. Truesdale was 89 when he died from cancer on July 3.
