National Labor Relations Board Chairman Mark Gaston Pearce and Acting General Counsel Lafe Solomon have announced the appointment of Naomi L. Stuart as Officer in Charge of the Agency's newly-designated Subregional office in Overland Park, Kansas (Subregion 17). In her new position, Ms. Stuart will assist Daniel Hubbel, Director of the NLRB’s Region 14 in St. Louis, in enforcing the National Labor Relations Act in Kansas and Oklahoma, and in certain counties in Missouri, Iowa and Nebraska.  Ms. Stuart is Subregion 17’s initial Officer in Charge upon its formal restructuring with the St. Louis office, which became effective today.
A native of Wichita, Kansas, Ms. Stuart received her B.A. degree in Anthropology from Wichita State University and M.B.A. degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. She was awarded her J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1975. Upon graduation, she began her NLRB career as an attorney in the Kansas City Regional Office.  Ms. Stuart was promoted to Supervisory Attorney in 2004, Deputy Regional Attorney in 2005, Regional Attorney in 2007, and Deputy Regional Director in 2007.
