Mr. Seidman received a B.A. degree in economics with a specialization in organizational studies from the University of California, Los Angeles and a M.S. in negotiation and conflict management from the University of Baltimore.  He began his career with the NLRB in 2005 as a field examiner in the Washington, DC Resident Office.  Since January 2012, he has served as a supervisory field examiner in the Baltimore Regional Office.  Mr. Seidman spent seven years as an investigator with the U.S. Department of Labor, Employee Benefits Security Administration, before joining the NLRB.
The NLRB administers and enforces the National Labor Relations Act.  It investigates and remedies unfair labor practices and conducts secret-ballot elections to determine whether employees desire union representation.
