Nicholas H. Lewis Named Assistant to the Regional Director in NLRB's New York Regional Office (Region 2)

Richard F. Griffin, Jr., General Counsel of the National Labor Relations Board, announced the appointment of Nicholas H. Lewis as the Assistant to the Regional Director of the NLRB’s Regional Office in for Region 2, New York, NY.
In his new position, Mr. Lewis will assist Regional Director Karen Fernbach in the administration and enforcement of the National Labor Relations Act in Manhattan, the Bronx and several counties North of New York City. Mr. Lewis succeeds Elbert Tellem, who recently retired.
Mr. Lewis received a B.A. degree in economics from the University of Vermont and a M.S. in Labor Studies from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He began his career with the NLRB in 1988 as a field examiner in the New York, NY Regional Office. Since March 1997, he has served as a supervisory field examiner in the New York Regional Office.
The National Labor Relations Board is an independent federal agency vested with the power to safeguard employee rights to organize, to act collectively, and to determine whether to have unions as their bargaining representative. The Agency also acts to prevent and remedy unfair labor practices committed by private sector employers and unions.
