NLRB Chief Information Officer Bryan Burnett Selected for FCW's Federal 100 Award

Federal Computer Week, a leading publication focusing on the business of federal technology, has selected NLRB Chief Information Officer Bryan Burnett as one of this year’s leaders in the fields of government, industry and academia who have played pivotal roles that affect how the federal government acquires, develops and manages IT.
Burnett is hailed for his role in “innovating under pressure.”  In selecting Burnett, FCW writes: “Keeping an agency's IT running is not often a Federal 100-worthy accomplishment, but budgetary and political challenges made even normal operations a herculean task for the National Labor Relations Board in 2013. And Burnett did more than just maintain: He reduced core IT expenditures by $2 million and led his agency in adopting a unified case management system that replaced 12 legacy systems, cut down on duplicate efforts and streamlined document management. More than 80 percent of the board's employees use the Next Generation Case Management System, and the rest will adopt it by the end of 2014.”
The publication notes that Burnett and the other honorees “have gone above and beyond their daily responsibilities and have made a difference in the way technology has transformed their agency or accelerated their agency’s mission.”
The 2014 Federal 100 winners were honored March 20th at an event in Washington, D.C.
