Peter Margolies appointed Deputy to the Assistant General Counsel in the Division of Operations-Management

National Labor Relations Board Acting General Counsel Lafe Solomon announced the appointment of career field examiner Peter Margolies as Deputy to the Assistant General Counsel in the Division of Operations-Management of the Office of the General Counsel in Washington. In his new position, Mr. Margolies will assist the Acting General Counsel in managing the 32 Regional Offices of the NLRB and provide programmatic support for the national enforcement and administration of the National Labor Relations Act.
Mr. Margolies was awarded a Bachelor’s degree from Vassar College in 1982, graduating cum laude with honors in philosophy. Months later, he began working at the Board’s Brooklyn office as a clerk-typist. He successfully completed the agency’s Bridge program in 1987, at which time he was converted to the Field Examiner position. He continued working at the Brooklyn office until 2001 when he transferred to the agency’s New Orleans office as a Supervisory Field Examiner. He returned to the Brooklyn office as a supervisor in 2004. For extended periods in both the Brooklyn and New Orleans offices he served as Acting Assistant to the Regional Director.
