Remembering Peter E. Donnelly, former Administrative Law Judge

Judge Peter E. Donnelly, a retired NLRB Administrative Law Judge, passed away Friday, March 30, at his home in Jacksonville, Florida. He was 80. Judge Donnelly was appointed an administrative law judge with the Board in May 1974, after stints as an NLRB attorney in Washington and as resident officer in Jacksonville.
Born in Providence, Rhode Island in 1931, Judge Donnelly Graduated from the College of the Holy Cross with a Bachelor of Science degree. Following graduation, he was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps, and served in the Korean War.
Following his honorable discharge as a 1st Lieutenant, he enrolled in the Georgetown University Law Center, earning his JD in 1958 and Master of Laws degree in 1962. Judge Donnelly joined the NLRB in 1958, and remained a part of the Agency until his retirement in 1997.
