Roberto Perez Named Regional Attorney of Region 16-Fort Worth

Today, National Labor Relations Board General Counsel Jennifer A. Abruzzo announced the appointment of Roberto Perez as the Regional Attorney for the NLRB’s Region 16 with its Regional Office in Fort Worth and its Resident Offices in Houston and San Antonio, Texas. In his new position, Mr. Perez will assist Regional Director Timothy L. Watson in the administration and enforcement of the National Labor Relations Act in most of Texas and a portion of Arkansas.

Mr. Perez earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin and Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from South Texas College of Law Houston. Mr. Perez worked as an intern in the Region 16 Houston Resident Office while in law school and then began his career there as an attorney. He subsequently worked as an attorney in the San Antonio Resident Office. In 2021, Mr. Perez was promoted to Supervisory Field Attorney.

Established in 1935, the National Labor Relations Board is an independent federal agency that protects employees, employers, and unions from unfair labor practices and protects the right of private sector employees to join together, with or without a union, to improve wages, benefits and working conditions. The NLRB conducts hundreds of workplace elections and investigates thousands of unfair labor practice charges each year. Region 16 serves areas in Arkansas and Texas from its Regional Office in Fort Worth and its Resident Offices in San Antonio and Houston.
