Office of Equal Employment Opportunity
OEEO’s staff is comprised of attorney-advisors, EEO specialists and EEO assistants, management/program analyst and administrative support, under the leadership of the OEEO Director and Deputy Director. OEEO attorney-advisors work on all stages of the federal sector discrimination complaint process, including counseling aggrieved individuals at the informal stage and investigating formal complaints of discrimination. OEEO attorney advisors are neutrals who assist the parties in resolving their employment disputes and also draft final agency decisions on the merits of an EEO complaint.
EEO specialists and EEO assistants support affirmative employment programs and work with the attorney advisors to prepare compliance reports to other federal agencies, including the EEOC and OPM, and to develop and present observance events in support of Agency Special Emphasis Programs. OEEO’s management/program analyst will develop tools for ongoing analysis of workforce data to identify and eliminate barriers to equal employment opportunity. Office operations are supported by an administrative professional responsible for overall office support, including but not limited to correspondence, records management, supplies, etc.
