Before a Board decision issues in an unfair labor practice case, there may be litigation involving temporary
injunctions under Section 10(j) or 10(l) of the Act. These injunctions prevent irreparable harm to statutory rights
pending the issuance of the Board’s decision and final order. Regional Offices litigate injunction proceedings in the
United States District Courts. The General Counsel, through the Injunction Litigation Branch, represents the Board in
appeals involving Section 10(j) and 10(l) brought before a United States Court of Appeals.
