Stacee Smith is Named Nashville Resident
Richard F. Griffin, Jr., General Counsel of the National Labor Relations Board, today announced the appointment of Stacee Smith as Resident Officer of the Agency’s Nashville Resident Office, which reports to the Atlanta, Georgia Regional Office (Region 10). In her new position, Ms. Smith will assist Regional Director Claude T. Harrell in enforcing the National Labor Relations Act in 46 counties in middle Tennessee and 40 counties in Kentucky.

Jane North appointed Officer in Charge in Winston-Salem
National Labor Relations Board Chairman Mark Gaston Pearce and Acting General Counsel Lafe Solomon have announced the appointment of Jane North as Officer in Charge of the Agency's newly-designated Subregional office in Winston-Salem, North Carolina (Subregion 11). In her new position, Ms. North will assist Claude Harrell, Director of the NLRB’s Region 10 in Atlanta, in enforcing the National Labor Relations Act in Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina, and in certain counties in Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia. Belinda Bennett Appointed Resident Officer in NLRB's Birmingham Resident Office
National Labor Relations Board Acting General Counsel Lafe Solomon today announced the appointment of Belinda Bennett as Resident Officer of the NLRB’s Birmingham Resident Office (Region 10). Ms. Bennett, a career agency employee with 30 years of service as a field examiner, will assist Regional Director Claude Harrell in the administration and enforcement of the National Labor Relations Act in portions of Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee.
Acting General Counsel announces adjustments to restructuring proposal as it pertains to the Memphis regional office
Acting General Counsel Lafe Solomon has announced changes to a regional restructuring plan proposed in July and currently under review, pertaining solely to the Regional Office in Memphis, Tennessee (Region 26) and adjacent Regional Offices. Under the adjusted proposal, the Regional Office in Memphis and Resident Office in Little Rock, Arkansas would move to the jurisdiction of the Regional Office in New Orleans, Louisiana (Region 15), while the Resident Office in Nashville, Tennessee would move to the jurisdiction of the Regional Office in Atlanta, Georgia (Region 10).
Settlement ends long-running dispute at Alabama manufacturing plant, 60 employees to be reinstated
The owner of an Alabama manufacturing plant and the union representing its workers have ended a long-running labor dispute through a settlement agreement signed yesterday by NLRB Acting General Counsel Lafe Solomon.
